Breakfast Money

It's been a long time since I've taken my whole family out for a meal. So, I took them family out for breakfast this morning. We went to Bagel Time Rest- aurant. They have a great egg, bagel and potatoes breakfast deal. It only cost us $28.57 (plus tip) to feed all eight of us. When we arrived a elder gentleman dining by himself noticed us and complimented us on being a nice family. Halfway into our meal as the gentleman left he approached me and offered this gift of $10 dollars. My heart was very touched by this gift because I was unsure if it was wise to dine out with money being tight right now. The gift confirmed in my heart that it was OK and that God doesn't just give us our daily bread but also gives us treats too.

Star Fruit

Star Fruit from God

Karl Ruf from church gave us more Star Fruit. This time he also gave me a branch from his tree so I can grow my own tree.
Were getting a lot of Star Fruit lately and are glad for if. It must be in season. Star Fruit has a very clean taste and we love having it for breakfast. It's sweet with a little tartness. My wife says is taste somewhere between an orange and a kiwi.

Although the photo doesn't show it, the fruit from Carl's tree are enormous. Each fruit is 3-4 times a bigger then the ones from Vicky's tree from around the block. Vicky also gives us a lot of Star Fruit (see below).

Onions, Cucumbes and a Pepper

These came for the Bonillas. I think someone in their church sells veggies. I don't know the details. I think they are on the end of their shelf life and were donated to the church. Members can pick through the produce they want.

They were still were crisp and fresh

Melon

Today I was at J&J Farms. I forgot to put this melon on the counter till after I wrote the check. I told the guy I would write another check and he told me don't worry about it, it's a gift! Thanks Kellen!

More Star Fruit

Vicki our neighbor on the other side of the block saw Trust in the front yard today and told him to come over for star fruit. Freeman said when they counted what was there they counted to 50! The funny part is I was at Wal-Mart getting some food and at the end I realized I hadn't gotten much fruit but I had spent my budget. I figured we just have to do with what I had gotten. I guess God already knew :)

Proactive

We have been praying about Trust's skin problem. We received two offers for a derma- tologist office visit from both my brother in law Michael and from Conrad and Cheryl Beton. We took Conrad and Cheryl up on their offer. However, Mike also purchased for us the proactive system. We decided to go with the proactive for now, but are so thankful for both.
