My family was out shopping at the time when Denise Wood, a friend of my mom, stopped by to give us some thanksgiving goods.

Our neighbor Shotsy, frequently comes to our house with things to eat. The grub he brought today was Mountain Bread.

Groceries Again

Sometimes God's gives double blessing. Kim K. came over with these groceries. She is very heath conscience as we try to be. We'll love digging into this produce.

These groceries come from an anonymous giver. I praise God for his goodness and rejoice in provisions.

Birthday Cakes

Promise's Cake

Laurie is an exceptional baker and she has determined in her heart to bake a home made cake for each child's birthday. Considering that we have 8 kid's this is no small task. But even more, Laurie doesn't just bake a cake, she bakes a piece of art. The insides may be marble or the layers may have be different colors, or checkered. I am amazed that many times the gifts that God give us are better then what we would give ourselves. Now, mind you I like my wife cooking, her confections are yummy, but she'll agree herself that these cakes a better than she would bake for the family.

If we purchased these from the grocery store they would not be as beautiful or delicious. Creation like these come from specialty bakeries.

I just recently re-committed to post God's blessing our family. I found these picture on our camera. These birthdays were in October.

Being Thankful Again.

I have many times referred this site to Christian friends and to Bible study groups when I wanted to give proof that God does keep His promise to take care of His children.  Although I have not posted anything here in quite awhile. Believe it or not I got bothered with all the posting. First I passed the job on to my kids. Then after a while I was bothered with reminding them to post. So I let it go. We did it for over a year and I thought it was a good exercise of displaying the goodness and provision of God.

A couple days ago while in prayer I was reminded about this blog and felt conviction of my lack of thankfulness to God, that I would think it was a bother to record His goodness in a simple post. It so easy to be ungrateful. I will try to be more grateful in the future and start posting records of God's provision for my family again. I think it is fitting that this should restart during the Thanksgiving season.

Some friends of ours sent us some really cool Italian food while we were busy working on a group project.

Baney video tapes

We have two little boys under 3 years old in our family who love to watch Barney, several of the children older then them also like to watch Barney, but are too embarrassed to admit it.
So as you can imagine most of the family was very glad to get the new Barney videos.

Colored Marshmallows

Shotsy our good neighbor does a lot of nice things for us. He often brings us food and mows our lawn, asking nothing in return. This time he brought over some colored marshmallows.

Mary gave these to us when we went to her house.

Bread, cookies, and cake

Richard Popovic tonight brought over bread, cookies, and some kind of very yummy cake.

Shotsy decided that it was time to bring us another special gift. Dough nuts!

Popovic is a fun neighbor who live a several houses down from ours brought over some some really good marinated pork.

Our friend Mary, who lives down the block, often remembers us.

Star Fruit

Vicki is a friend that lives on the other side of our block. As you may guess she has a star fruit tree. It produces more fruit than she and her husband can eat. So she shares the excess with us.

Shampoo and canned food

Our friend, Fanny, came by and gave us some shampoo and canned food.

Turkey

If you read our posts on raining gifts you may know who Fanny is. Fanny has been our friend for a long time and is always looking for an opportunity to help us out.

Oranges

If you read some of our older posts, then you might have heard about how Popovic often brings us cool stuff. These oranges are just one of the times that Popovic has brought us something fun to eat.

Head Hunter Mark and Coupon Guru Sara

The Mark and Sara Saville are friends of ours from Grace Baptist church. Mark sometimes goes up north and hunts. When he returns he often shares some of the game us. Sara is a grocery shopping thrifty coupon guru and can buy those types of things at amazing prices. Sara also sometimes shares with us what she buys.

Popovic Rocks!

Our neighbor ,Popovic, brought us some leftover pizza and some loaves of bread. Often he brings pizza over late at night when were watching a movie. Perfect timing.

Cake From A Friend

Laurie is a friend of our friend Jessica. Laurie enjoys baking cakes and she was kind enough to give us cake, which we used for my little sister's birthday.

Ketchup and mustard

Our next door neighbors, the Bonillas, came over and gave us ketchup and mustard.

Raining Gifts

Fanny came to our house a filled our table with all sorts of good things to eat, another excellent example of how God has used other people to take care of us.

The Marshmallows of Mary

Mary is our neighbor that lives several houses down from us. She sometimes helps at the local school and periodically brings us the extra coca and marshmallows that the school has left over from a science project.
