Bananas

Mary brought these over.
Although I tried a variety of local bananas, I never had this type of banana before. They are very starchy and tasted like yukka. We were hoping they would sweeten up when you fry them like a plantain but they didn't.
Also the peals did not pull away from the fruit.
After some thought we try boiling them whole.
This worked wonderfully. The peals split and were easy to removed.
From here we cut them into strips, fried and salted them like french fries. They were pretty good. The kids loved them.

Diapers

I'm not sure who gave this to us.
My kids were sitting in the pew at church before service. Catherine and I were not sitting yet. A older lady brought these to our kids. They didn't know who she was, didn't get her name and don't remember what she looks like.

We've kids trained our children to sit still with out our presence. Now we need to work on their paying attention while they are sitting still.

I believe this was food donated to her church.

Pork Patties

Evelyn Bonilla brought these over.
The kids were excited because they thought they were cookies.

Jello

Our neighbor Shotzie came over today with some jello that the kids at his house didn't want. Yummy for our kids, everyone had one at dinner tonight!

Bagels, carrots, strawberries, lettuce

Today our friend from down the end of the block came by. They were going away for a few days and shared some fridge stuff with us.
