10 Dollars

I'm not sure how to explain how this 10 dollars landed in my hands. While I was out canvassing for State Representative I spoke to a man I met before during the city elections. He thought it would be a joke to give me a 100 dollars. So, he took out a 10 dollar bill and folded it up so the zero on the right sat next to the 10 on the left. After he folded it, he handed it to me. I thought it was but a joke so I smiled then handed the money back to him. He was insisted that I keep the bill saying to go buy myself dinner.
Keep in mind that the rules of this forum allow only posting gifts that are completely unsolicited. I did not tell this man I wanted or even needed the money. I was dressed well and groomed well also. I wasn't even asking for money for the campaign, but was collecting signatures to get my name on the ballet. The man didn't even know I had a large family to support. Sometimes I have to laugh at how God provides for our family.

Potatoes

While door to door soliciting signatures to place my name on the ballet for Florida State Rep I stopped by Mary's House. Yes, I running for office. Winn-Dixie had a two for one sale on potatoes. She and her sister can't eat up both bags withing their shelf life, so she offered the second bag to our family.
God provides in many ways.
